The PGE Arena Gdansk was previously known as the Baltic Arena, It was built to play host to 3 group matches including Croatia v Spain and 1 quarter-final during Euro 2012.
The exterior of the new PGE Arena is designed to resemble amber which has long been extracted on the Baltic coast. Construction started in 2008 and was completed mid-2011 and it is now the new football home stadium of Lechia Gdansk.
